Great News for Los Roques, the president Chavez has implemented the Consejo Comunal in Los Roques which now has a big impact on the social welfare including housing to the local people, also the Islands are cleaner and running water is now a fact including a top of the state suing system. The New Airport with an investment of more that $10 million will be finished in April 2008. The consejo comunal is appointed by the local people providing more security and improved services. So welcome to Los Roques the safest Islands in the Caribbean.

Pirates doing charter in Los Roques.

Complaints against Italian charter companies doing illegal chartering in Los Roques and  providing bad service prior to charters conducted on several catamarans and sailboats in August is being processed by the Nautical association of Los Roques, read the follow ups. 

When you book a charter boat in Los Roques always make sure the boat has insurance and concession for doing charter in Los Roques.

A new desalination plant was inaugurated by the president Chavez and that means there would be no shortfall of sweet water in Gran Roques and on the different charter boats.

More people from Venezuela are now chartering sailboats in Los Roques due to the large export of oil and the successful politics of the president Chaves. 2 years ago that was a rare sight but it is becoming inn for Venezuelans to visit Los Roques, More Europeans are now visiting Los Roques due to the low dollar exchange in Europe.
